About the Venue MCE |
The conference aimed at presenting the strategic noise research plan of CALM to the general public and at increasing the awareness of environmental noise and related research. Thus, the conference was provided for all persons who are concerned with environmental noise in any kind: political decision makers, local authorities, researchers and engineers from university and industry, public traffic operators and all other stakeholders.
The programme of the one-day conference comprised two sessions in the morning and three sessions in the afternoon. In short presentations, the CALM members and chair persons of the EC noise working groups as well as representatives of the European research advisory councils and experts of national research networks provided an overview of current and future noise research in Europe. The opening address and closing remarks were given by representatives of the European Commission.
