X2-NOISE addresses the issue of aircraft noise, a major cause of concern around European airports, through complementary objectives in the strategic and dissemination domains

• Formulation of key topics and efficient co-ordination of technology projects in complementarity with national activities, through development of common strategies, benchmarking, expertise mapping and promotion of novel ideas.
• Identification of necessary expertise and instruments to support / develop EU policies in the area of airport noise management.
• Communication about noise reduction prospects and technological achievements towards general public, scientific communities and policy making EU/government agencies and international bodies.
