  General Information

The industrial manufacturing of the low mass new concept for raw materials and acoustic trim parts will be studied theoretically by calculation and simulation. The theoretical study of the raw materials' behaviour will be performed through the three main acoustic functions: sound insulation, absorption and damping.

Technological development envisaged:

  1. Low weight sound deadener new materials and techniques.
  2. Validation of the new simulation techniques for the sound package definition.
  3. Study and adjustment of a new faster method to define and quantify the acoustic sources.

Markets application and exploitation:

  1. Decrease in interior car noise taking into account the acoustic comfort specifications.
  2. Simultaneous reduction in car weight to reduce environmental air pollution.
