  General Information

The objective of this project has been the development of a Hybrid Analysis and Testing (HAT) tool based on the combination between up-to-date acquisition and measurement techniques and a novel robust Inverse Boundary Element Method (IBEM). This tool can be used to determine source descriptors of virtual sources equivalent of the three major vehicle sources in running conditions: The engine, the exhaust line and tires.
The project has been executed by a consortium of developers specialised in acoustic software development and in sensors and measurement techniques which will develop the HAT tool, a university which studied reference cases and industrial partners: a tire manufacturer for the tire noises and two car manufacturers for the engine noise and exhaust noise applications
